Privacy

I handle other people's financial records for a living, so I am careful about information by habit. Here is exactly what this website collects and what happens to it.

short, because it should be

What the site collects

Only what you type into it. If you sign up for the letter, that is your email address and the date you signed up. If you send a message, that is your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and what you wrote. If you book a call, that is the same again plus the slot you chose and whether you want phone or video.

There is no advertising tracker on this site, no third party analytics script, and no cookie that follows you anywhere else.

Why it is collected

To answer you. The letter list exists to send you the letter, and nothing else. Your message exists so I can reply to it. A booking exists so I know when to call you.

Where it goes

It is stored on the site's own database and, where a message or a confirmation has to reach an inbox, it passes through an email delivery service. It is never sold, never rented, and never handed to anyone for their own use. I do not share your details with another firm without asking you first.

How long it is kept

Letter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link that works the first time you press it, and unsubscribing is recorded rather than deleted so you are not added back by accident. Messages and bookings are kept while they are useful for the work, and removed on request.

Having it removed

Write to Rachel@devotedbooksandtax.com or call 386-344-7113 and ask. You do not need a reason and I will not ask you for one.

Client records are a separate matter

This page is about the website. The books, returns and payroll records of actual clients are held under the confidentiality that work requires, are not stored on this website, and are discussed in the engagement we agree before any work starts.

This is a demonstration

This site is a demonstration build. If you sign up or send a message here, it reaches a demonstration inbox rather than a production one. Nothing entered here is treated as a real engagement or as advice.
