A short letter each month, before the deadlines

Not a newsletter in the sense you are dreading. What is due, what is worth doing now, and nothing else.

The monthly letter

Once a month I write a short letter. Not a newsletter in the sense you are dreading. No stock photo of a handshake, no five minute read time, no offers.

What is in it: what is due in the next few weeks, one thing worth doing now rather than in March, and occasionally a mistake I watched somebody make so that you do not have to make it too.

It goes out before deadlines, not after. That is the entire promise and it is the reason people stay subscribed.

I write it myself, at my own desk, usually on a Sunday

Three things worth having

Short, practical, and written by me rather than bought from somewhere. Give me an email and I will send it over.

  • Before the First Call

The one page list of what to have in front of you before you talk to any bookkeeper, mine included.

  • How Far Behind Is Too Far Behind

An honest look at what a clean up actually involves, what it costs, and how to tell how deep yours goes before you pay anybody.

  • The Year on One Page

Every deadline a small business owner has to care about, laid out across the year, with the ones people miss marked.

Your email is used to send the guide and the monthly letter. That is all it is ever used for.

Guide delivery is wired to the newsletter automation at launch. On this demonstration site your request is recorded and the preview is shown on screen.
